Andrew Mele
Andrew Paul Mele has written six books and is the author of several short stories. His newest book is Caesars of the Diamond, a history of Italian Americans in Major League Baseball.
His seventh book, The Italian Squad: NYPD and the Takedown of the Black Hand Extortion Racket, is due out in 2019. Four of Mr. Mele’s books have been about baseball with a focus on the Brooklyn Dodgers, reflecting his own background of growing up in Brooklyn during the golden age of baseball in NYC.
He currently writes regular columns in the Staten Island Advance and The Italian Tribune. The author resides in Staten Island, NY.
