Elisabetta Grasso
Elisabetta Grasso was born in Italy, where she currently lives (Ruvo di Puglia, Bari). In 2013 she graduated from the University of Salento (Lecce, Italy) as translator and interpreter in English and Russian. Languages have always been her passion, since she started learning them in a linguistic High School. She also knows French, Spanish and German. In 2014 she attended at the College of Staten Island (NY) a course called English as Second Language for foreign students in order to improve her English. In the summer of the same year she volunteered, translating some brochures, at the Garibaldi-Meucci Museum (Staten Island, NY), where some months later she started working as an intern. This experience gave her the chance to work for the first time as translator, tour guide, media specialist and Italian teacher for children and adults. Currently she works as freelance translator, her first works are the translation of the American book “Given Away, Sicilian Upbringing” written by Marianna Randazzo and published by Ideapress in November 2015 and the translation of another American book that will be published soon. In her free time she plays volleyball and learns Portuguese.
