Ms. Laura Klinkon, née DiLiberto in the Province of Enna, Italy, studied literature and language at the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pa., at American University, Washington, D.C., and at other universities as part of continuing and independent study.  She has been employed in editing, writing, and translating in various cities, including New York, Washington, D.C. and her adopted home town of Rochester, N.Y.—where she has raised two children together with her former husband, Heinrich Klinkon, now deceased.  She primarily writes poetry and published in 2013 a full-length collection, Trying to Find You, and in 2018,  two chapbooks, Kitchen Abrasives and Looking Askance. Most recently, she has published her translated collection of the early sonnets of Edna St. Vincent Millay, The Silent Lyre or La Lira Silente.
