Marinella Sorino was born in Mola di Bari (Italy) in 1968.

She has always been attracted to drawing and art, and she graduated as a fashion designer in 1988.

In 2014, she started making pencil portraits and posting them on social media. The feedback came immediately, and various artists invited her to continue and deepen her interest in portrait making.

Her great commitment to pencil and charcoal use magically guides her in the knowledge of the reproduced images, with greater sensitivity to familiar faces.

The artist has exhibited her paintings in various solo and group exhibitions throughout Italy. To her credit, too, are the production of two book covers and the illustrations of a booklet distributed by the civil protection agency in Italy.

"A Magical Night" is the first children’s book illustrated by her for Idea Press.
