Michael Riccards is the author of 20 books, 15 verse plays, and a play on the well-known American poet, John Ciardi. Ha has been a college president of three institutions of higher education, a NEH Fellow at Princeton University, and a Fulbright Fellow in Japan. His latest volume of short stories is The Ordinary Duties of the Day and the upcoming Growing Up Jersey. He has three children and five grandchildren. Michael’s family is from Benevento and Avellino.
